Ashbourne has an outstanding reputation for the teaching
of Art and Design at both A level and GCSE. Using our specialist facilities in
the Young Street building, students may work in a wide
variety of media, including fine art, ceramics, silk-screen
printing, fashion and textiles, graphic design and photography. Each
year, Ashbourne's A level students gain entry to the most competitive courses
in Art and Design, at leading art colleges.
Students' work is exhibited both within the college
and externally. Recently, Ashbourne's A level students have won prizes
awarded by the Royal Borough
of Kensington and Chelsea and were invited to exhibit
their work at Leighton House, Holland Park, in the presence
of the Mayor.
As a private college, Ashbourne offers almost twice as much contact time as found elsewhere. With an average class size of 7, students thus have an inparalleled opportunity to develop their unique artistic imagination.
