About Ashbourne Independent Sixth Form College
Our supportive, examination-oriented approach has been consistently successful. 61% of examination results for A level re-sit candidates between June 1998 and June 2005 were at A or B grades, with 82% of A level candidates gaining A, B or C grades

A specialist programme is offered for entry to the Medical Sciences. This highly successful programme is overseen by Professor John Foreman, FRCP, Dean of Students and Professor of Pharmacology at University College , London , and includes among its advisers Dr Douglas Miller, BDS, LDS, RCS (Eng), a practising Dental Surgeon. 51% of Ashbourne candidates have won places at medical school over the last 8 years.

Ashbourne also has an outstanding reputation for the teaching of Art and Design. Under the guidance of our tutors, whose passion and enthusiasm for the subject is infectious, our students have routinely achieved top grades at A level and have won prizes in art and sculpture competitions, exhibiting their work in Leighton House and in Holland Park.

Unlike some other colleges,
Ashbourne considers its primary
strength to be its small size coupled
with its friendly and caring approach.
